PECOABOUT: EXECUTIVE STAFF

Scott Smith is the President of PECO. Prior to joining the firm, he was involved in mergers and acquisitions with a leading West Coast private equity firm. Previously he worked for the IBM Corporation, Toshiba America, AST Computers and B/E Aerospace. An engineer by training, Mr. Smith's career includes experiences in new product development, sales and marketing, and general management. He holds Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from Virginia Tech.

Steven Michaelis, is the Vice President of Engineering at PECO. He began his career at PECO in 1980. Prior to joining PECO, Mr. Michaelis held several positions at Standard Parts & Equipment Co. He holds a degree in Mathematics from Portland State University.

James M. Stocks, is the Vice President of Manufacturing at PECO and has been with the firm since 1967. Previously, Mr. Stocks held engineering positions at ESCO Corp, the US Army, and the Bonneville Power Administration. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Portland State University.

Merrick Smith is the Director of Finance for PECO, where he is responsible for Finance, IT, and Human Resources. Mr. Smith was previously the Chief Financial Officer for MTI and has also held management positions at Electro Scientific Industries and Hughes Aircraft. He holds an undergraduate degree from San Diego State University.

Michael Loescher is the Director of Engineering for PECO. He has been with the firm since 1988. Prior to joining PECO, Mr. Loescher held engineering and management positions at United Technologies and Emerson Electric.

Bob Cowgill is the Director of Operations for PECO. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cowgill held engineering and senior management positions at Precision Castparts, PML Microbiologicals, and Koon-Hall-Adrian Metallurgical. Mr. Cowgill holds an undergraduate degree from Oregon State University and a graduate degree from the University of Oregon.

Merrill Yeo is the Director of Quality for PECO. Prior to joining PECO, Mr. Yeo held quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering, and management positions at White Electronic Designs, InFocus, SRC Vision, Met One Inc., SCI Systems, Lear Siegler Telecom, Western Digital and Emulex. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the California State University at Long Beach.

Patrick Finney is the Director of Sales and Marketing for PECO. Prior to joining PECO, Mr. Finney held engineering, marketing, and sales management positions at Tektronix, Pixelvision, FEI, FLIR Systems, Schlumberger, and ESI. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Chicago.
