Engineering Capabilities
Our skills and capabilities include system level definition, design, certification, systems integration and program management of aircraft reconfigurations and interior system designs. We also provide FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) to develop comprehensive test plans and reports needed for component or system level FAA qualifications and certifications including stress loads, flammability, smoke and toxicity. We have expertise in LED lighting systems, environmental control and ducting systems, temperature sensors and various housing techniques, electrical wiring and power outlet provisioning, and passenger information signs. We have a variety of mechanical, electrical and structural design systems and capabilities, including CATIA V4 and V5.

Manufacturing and FAA Repair Station Capabilities
PECO Aerospace Products utilizes a wide array of in-house equipment for aluminum and zinc die-casting, plastic injection molding, precision machining, and assembly capabilities to offer its customers a broad range of highly engineered and built-to-print products. Our business process and quality management systems comply with the stringent AS9100 quality program.

PECO has an FAA-approved repair station license.

Please contact us for assistance in selecting the resin with the properties best suited for your application. Resins we mold include:

All materials available with glass fiber fill for reinforcement, and additives for lubrication such as PTFE or MOS2. All are commonly available in flame-retardant grades. Additional modifiers available include colorants/dyes, talc, RF shielding additives, etc.

The screw machine department is also equipped with a parts cleaner, Hardinge Hand Screws, T-Drill Automatic Former and various mills, presses, lathes and miscellaneous support equipment

Assembly Department [top]

PECO's assembly department is fully equipped to handle both high and low volume projects. Climate-controlled rooms are available for those assemblies requiring and temperature controlled manufacturing environments, along with a cure room and various robotics.

Ultrasonic and vibration welders, automatic X-Y inserting fixtures, bonding fixtures, conveyors, and assembly turntables. Heat chambers for curing and stress relieving are also available.

In addition to QA Central, PECO has five satellite QA offices spread throughout the plant. Quality control equipment includes two Brown and Sharpe coordinate measuring machines, two optical comparators and a multitude of gauging, weighing, testing and measurement tools and apparatus. PECO is compliant to AS 9100 / ISO 9001: 2000; all FAI Reports are completed per AS9102. All PECO owned and employee owned measurement equipment is calibrated per a preset schedule. Customer returned materials are physically segregated in a secured area away from conforming materials; line rejects are also secured, in a separate area.
